2021 Toyota Avalon Safety Features
25th Anniversary of the Flagship Toyota Avalon
The 2021 Toyota Avalon showcases 25 years of luxurious design. The flagship Toyota features an all-new drivetrain with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The new AWD 2021 Avalon comes in three trims: XLE, XLE AWD, and XLE Hybrid. All come with ToyotaCare with no-cost maintenance and roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles. The 2021 Avalon comes with a substantial collection of safety features and few add-ons, too.
We invite you to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Toyota Avalon at Toyota of Tampa Bay, a member of the Morgan Auto Group. We’d love to show how this luxurious flagship will keep you and your passengers safe on the road.
Standard and Available Safety Features
All three 2021 Avalon trims come standard with an enviable amount of safety features. With ten airbags, front Whiplash-Injury-Lessening (WIL) seats, LATCH systems, and several other protective qualities, it is clear that Toyota is dedicated to increasing safety on the road.
This year’s model has even more notable safety technology, too. The vehicle comes standard with Safety Connect® which includes a three-year subscription with Emergency Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Locator, Roadside Assistance, and Automatic Collision Notification.
Each 2021 Avalon also comes with driver-assist tech that focuses on safety. The standard Toyota Safety Sense™ package includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. The Avalon also has Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
The Hybrid XLE comes with collision sensors that deactivate the high-voltage battery for safety in an accident. Because the Hybrid XLE is so quiet, it alerts nearby drivers and pedestrians with vehicle-approach noise. All models have an available Intelligent Clearance Sonar with Rear Cross-Traffic Braking, too.
Toyota also offers an Advanced Safety Package on all three trims. This package has a Bird's Eye View Camera with Perimeter Scan and Intelligent Clearance Sonar with Rear Cross-Traffic Braking. All three trims have an available camera safety feature: Bird's Eye View Camera with Perimeter Scan with an overhead 360-degree view in Drive and Reverse and curb view for pedestrian safety.
Performance-Based Trim Differences
Toyota took care to add notable safety features to all three trims on the 2021 Toyota Avalon. The differences between the trims are the engine and drivetrain. The XLE has a beefy 3.5-Liter V6 8-Speed Automatic with front-wheel drive, while the XLE AWD comes with the new fuel-efficient 2.5-Liter 4-Cylinder 8-Speed Automatic. Finally, the XLE Hybrid has the 2.5-Liter 4-Cylinder ECVT Hybrid under the hood.
The XLE and XLE AWD come with three driver modes - ECO, Normal, and Sport - so drivers can adjust the Avalon to road conditions. The Hybrid model adds a fourth mode, EV, for added fuel economy.
At Toyota of Tampa Bay, we are celebrating the 2021 Toyota Avalon. We invite you to share in the celebration by visiting us and taking the luxurious, safe, and well-appointed Avalon for a test drive today.
